Bénodet

Bénodet sits at the mouth of the Odet in Brittany's "Riviera bretonne," flat, coastal, and built for long easy days on two wheels.

Bénodet sits where the river Odet meets the Atlantic, at the southern tip of Finistère, in a stretch of coast known locally as the Riviera bretonne.

The riding here is almost entirely flat: the V45 littoral cycle route runs along the seafront through town, connecting toward Fouesnant, the beaches of Beg-Meil, and the Pointe de Mousterlin, with the Îles de Glénan visible offshore on clear days.

Crossing the Odet by ferry to Sainte-Marine opens onto quieter lanes on the western bank, while the route east continues toward the walled town of Concarneau. There's no real elevation to speak of — this is a destination for long, unhurried coastal kilometres, estuary views, and crêperie stops rather than climbing, which makes it a natural complement to the harder terrain further inland in the Monts d'Arrée.
