Rimforsa is located almost in the middle of fertile Östergötland, right next to the Kinda canal and the lake Åsunden. The landscape is characterized by agriculture, forests and large lakes. A more nerve-wracking circumstance is that the last criminal executed in Sweden worked as a cellar master at the tourist hotel in Rimforsa. His name was Alfred Ander and received his sentence in 1910. The thing is that the old tourist hotel burned down that year and the current building was erected in 1911.
