Bistro a Hostel Příběh is the catering and accommodation arm of the Bisport water-sports centre by the bridge in the middle of Týnec nad Sázavou, 200 m from the station and 30 km from Prague. Thirty-three beds at 395 CZK a head, a glazed all-day bistro and café doing scrambled eggs, grilled lunches, coffee and cake, and a campsite in town. The core business is canoe and raft rental on the Sázava. Note that its own website is currently offline.

Hotel Týnec has twelve rooms and thirty-three beds overlooking the château, the river or the hotel garden, with a café for breakfast, salonky for eighty and a dance hall for five hundred. Directories claim bike and boat rental plus a repair service; treat the rental claim carefully and confirm on arrival.
